A beautiful collaboration with photographer Zoe Helene Spaleta and Canberra-based wellness label Adytum by Renee Douros, which offers eco-conscious self-care products that evoke beauty and wellness. This series by Zoe was captured in the pop-up library, shop and exhibition space created by design studio Pattern in Braddon, Canberra.

“WE USE A COMBINATION OF 100 PER CENT RECYCLED, MEDICAL-GRADE MATERIALS THAT ARE BOTH RECYCLABLE AND REUSABLE FOR ALL OF OUR PACKAGING.

EVERY FACET OF ADYTUM HAS BEEN CREATED WITH METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL, FROM SPATIAL DESIGN THROUGH TO SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS.

A SUSTAINABILITY-FOCUSED MINDSET DRIVES AND INFLUENCES EACH OFOUR ENDEAVOURS AS WE STRIVE TO MINIMISE OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET,” SAYS DOUROS.

Adytum exists to explore the inextricable connection between self-care and wellness via a range of physical and experiential manifestations.

The brand is inspired by the third-place philosophy, a term coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg and suggests that the ‘first place’ is your home, the ‘second place’ is work and the ‘third place’ is the moments and spaces in-between the two.

In August 2020, Adytum launched with a collection of certified organic, botanical-based products that have been meticulously formulated with both efficacy and sensory pleasure in mind. In mid-2021, the brand will see the opening of an ‘urban sanctum’ offering wellness and self-care-based services.

The Adytum library was conceived as a tribute to the written word, existing to celebrate the intellectual nourishment and repose one derives from the ritual of reading. Designed by Interior Architecture studio Pattern and conceived as a space of solitude and respite, the library created a physical manifestation of the brand’s exploration of the ‘third-place’ philosophy, after the recent release of their collection of wellness and self-care formulations in August 2020.
